William Annand
Director of Operations HMS-Wisconsin, Inc.
William "Bill" Annand joined HMS in August, 2003, as our Director
of Operations for a high-speed car and passenger ferry operation from
Rochester, New York to Toronto, Canada. Shortly after the operation concluded
in Rochester, Bill assumed the role of Director of Operations at our HMS-Wisconsin
location managing the Lake Express, a high-speed car and passenger ferry
from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Muskegon, Michigan.
Bill has been actively involved in various sectors of the marine industry
for over 25 years, including: ferries, cruise dining vessels, casino vessels,
tugs, and pilot boats. Bill has also developed an extensive professional
network and broad background within the Great Lakes and US marine community
as well as internationally.
He began his career in the marine industry with the Beaver Island Boat
Company in Northern Lake Michigan. He then went on to manage cruise dining
vessels at six major Great Lakes ports, supervise dry-docking repairs
at various shipyards, and personally owning and operating a marine operation
in Detroit, Michigan on the Detroit River.
Bill has extensive experience in the business development area of the
marine industry. His broad business development experience includes: various
aspects from market research, financial forecasting and technical research
to vessel inspections, business plan development, and formal presentations.
