Mobile Bay Ferry Company — Mobile, Alabama

HMS Global Maritime Inc. (HMS-Alabama) is under an agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT to provide insurance, turnkey management, crewing, sales, construction management and maintenance management, as well as marketing for the Mobile Bay Ferry, a two-boat operation in Mobile Bay, Alabama. Established in 2005 and contracted through 2015, these vessels collectively operate 365 days a year and carry more than 60,000 vehicles.
Our performance on this project led ALDOT and HMSGM into an existing agreement to serve the people of Camden County, Alabama and their Gees Bend Ferry operation.
Currently, HMSGM operates the Fort Morgan and Marissa Mae Nicole in Mobile Bay. |

Delaware River Port Authority — Camden, NJ/Philadelphia, PA

HMS Global Maritime is responsible for the day-to-day management of the ferry including operations, shore side, sales and financial management. The ferry travels across the Delaware River from Camden, NJ to Philadelphia, PA while also being an express service for concerts events at the Camden Susquehanna Bank Center. |

St. Johns River Ferry Service — Jacksonville, Florida

In July 1997, HMSGM assumed overall management for the St. Johns River Ferry service owned by the city of Jacksonville, Fla. The goal was to change the formerly state-run service into a positive asset for the community and to make it a successful business venture. The route crossed the St. Johns River from Mayport to Fort George, offering a scenic alternative to driving the additional twenty-eight miles via the Dames Point Bridge. Two vessels, each with the capacity to carry 250 passengers and forty vehicles, carry over 250,000 vehicles annually. HMSGM improved facilities, streamlined vessel operations and developed an aggressive marketing campaign. The result? Ridership increased by 20% and costs were reduced by 38% during the first 180 days of the contract. |

Pierce County Ferries — Pierce County, Washington

On behalf of Pierce County (WA), HMS-Pacific Navigation Co. operates the combined passenger and vehicle ferries, M/V Christine Anderson and M/V Steilacoom, serving the communities of Steilacoom, Ketron Island and Anderson Island. Under this vessel management and terminal service contract, HMS-Pacific Navigation Company provides all crew including: Masters, Deckhands, Engineers, and terminal/guest service personnel. |

Gees Bend Ferry — Camden, Alabama

The Gees Bend Ferry is the second operation managed and operated by HMSGM in cooperation with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).
This significant project is another public/private partnership with the ALDOT. HMS-Alabama provides turnkey project management for this operation in Camden/Gees Bend, Alabama. Our team managed construction, certification, and delivery of the vessel and we currently provide operational management, crewing, and maintenance on behalf of the state and county.
The Gees Bend Ferry reopened in 2006, marking the first time since the 1960s that a ferry had been in operation there. This historical was and is viewed as another positive step in the Civil Rights movement and voting rights. The ferry is under HMS contract until 2015. |

Oklahoma River Cruises — Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Under contract to Central Oklahoma Transit and Parking Authority (COTPA), HMS-OK operates three 65’ sister ships as passenger only ferries. Their transit from end to end of the Oklahoma River is 7.2 miles and through three lakes created by three dams. This route takes 800 passengers per week through two locks raising or lowering the vessels 9’ each time. Wednesday through Sunday regular river service is enhanced with occasional additional entertainment and specific evening theme cruises as well as being available for private parties. |

Seldovia Bay Ferry — Seldovia/Homer, Alaska

Under contract with the Seldovia Native Association, Inc. in Seldovia/Homer, Alaska, HMS-Alaska provides the Kachemak Voyager a comprehensive package of management services, consisting of vessel custodial services, manuals and operating systems, planning and mobilization of the vessel, and complete vessel management services, including crew and shore-side personnel, procurement, logistics, maintenance planning and support, and project reporting and record keeping.
This passenger only ferry travels from Seldovia and Homer, Alaska seasonally from May through September. It makes three trips per day, seven days a week. Estimated passenger colume is ~6,000 (round-trip in year one.
