Mobile Bay Ferry Fleet

Our performance on this project led ALDOT and HMS into an existing agreement to serve the people of Camden County, Alabama and their Gees Bend Ferry operation.
Currently, HMSGM operates the Fort Morgan and Marissa Mae Nicole in Mobile Bay.
Hornblower Ferry Provides Lifeline to Gees Bend

The Gees Bend Ferry is the second operation managed and operated by HMS Global Maritime in cooperation with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).
This significant project with ALDOT was and continues to be a historical transportation service important to the community in which it serves. In the development and launch of this project, HMSGM provided turnkey services with our team managing construction, certification and delivery. Also, as per our contract, we provide operational management, crewing and maintenance for the operation.
WestPac Express - Okinawa, Japan

HMS-WestPac Inc., a subsidiary of HMS Global maritime, Inc., entered into a contract with Austal Ships Pty Ltd. in December, 2002 to provide marine management and crew services for the WestPac Express.
This United States Military chartered high-speed, wave-piercing 101-meter catamaran can carry 970 passengers and up to 237 vehicles. It's sole mission is to transport personnel and their equipment over a 1,200 mile area of responsibility based out of Okinawa, Japan. The roll-on roll-off, all-aluminum vessel is powered by KaMeWa jet drives and has 40,000 horsepower with a top operating speed of thirty-seven knots.
St. Johns River Ferry

In July 1997, HMS Global Maritime Inc. assumed overall management for the St. Johns River Ferry service owned by the city of Jacksonville, Fla. The goal was to change the formerly state-run service into a positive asset for the community and to make it a successful business venture.
The route crossed the St. Johns River from Mayport to Fort George, offering a scenic alternative to driving the additional twenty-eight miles via the Dames Point Bridge. Two vessels, each with the capacity to carry 250 passengers and forty vehicles, carry over 250,000 vehicles annually. Hornblower improved facilities, streamlined vessel operations and developed an aggressive marketing campaign. The result? Ridership increased by 20% and costs were reduced by 38% during the first 180 days of the contract.
Pierce County Ferry

On behalf of Pierce County (WA), HMS-Pacific Navigation Co. operates the combined passenger and vehicle ferries, M/V Christine Anderson and M/V Steilacoom, serving the communities of Steilacoom, Ketron Island and Anderson Island. Under this vessel management and terminal service contract, HMS-Pacific Navigation Company provides all crew including: Masters, Deckhands, Engineers, and terminal/guest service personnel.
Oklahoma City River Cruises

Under contract to Central Oklahoma Transit and Parking Authority (COTPA), HMS Global Maritime Inc. – Oklahoma (HMS-OK) operates three 65’ sister ships as passenger only ferries. Their transit from end to end of the Oklahoma River is 7.2 miles and through three lakes created by three dams. This route takes 800 passengers per week through two locks raising or lowering the vessels 9’ each time. Wednesday through Sunday regular river service is enhanced with occasional additional entertainment and specific evening theme cruises as well as being available for private parties.
Delaware River Port Authority - Freedom Ferry

HMS Global Maritime, Inc. is responsible for the day-to-day management of the ferry including operations, shore side, sales and financial management. The ferry travels across the Delaware River from Camden, NJ to Philadelphia, PA while also being an express service for concerts events at the Camden Susquehanna Bank Center.
Harbor Ferry

HMS Global Maritime, Inc. manages the newly returned Harbor Ferry, the waterborne transportation of the Coastal Bend Community. The ninety-foot Harbor Ferry vessel travels from the Peoples Street T-Head to the Texas State Aquarium/Corpus Christi Beach area.
