John W. Waggoner
President/CEO
John founded HMS Global Maritime after serving as Director of Marine Operations for Hornblower Dining Yachts, a fleet of 29 Dinner Cruise vessels.
John has been actively involved in the passenger vessel industry for over 30 years. He began his career in the sport fishing industry, and has since been involved in many and varied segments of the industry including Commercial Fishing, Offshore Oil Support vessels, Dinner Cruise and Excursion vessels, Casino Boats, and Car and Passenger Ferry Operations.
John’s continuing dedication to safety and furthering the development of marine transportation has placed him at the forefront of the industry. He was awarded a Commendation from the Commandant of the US Coast Guard for his substantial and lasting contribution to promoting passenger vessel safety.
He received a Master of Business Administration in June of 1989 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology in June of 1979 from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He was nominated outstanding MBA of the year, and selected by his peers as the MBA with the highest stress tolerance, a highly appropriate personal trait in the marine industry.
As President and CEO, John still lives his childhood dream of “playing with boats the rest of his life, so he would never have to grow up and get a real job.”
Greg Dronkert
President of HMS Ferries Division
As President of HMS Ferries Inc., Greg has overall responsibility for management and operation of HMS Global Maritime’s domestic and international ferry operations.
Additionally, Greg provides support for various corporate-wide initiatives and business development activities. Greg also provides expertise for technical programs with particular emphasis on vessel repair, construction and project management.
Greg is an engineering graduate of the California Maritime Academy. He sailed in licensed positions on commercial vessels in both the deck and engineering departments before progressing through senior and executive management positions ashore. Notably, Greg served as Vice President and General Manager of Ketchikan Shipyard, Director of the Alaska Marine Highway System, President and CEO of Glacier Bay Cruiseline and President of Pacific Navigation Company. In 2004, Greg joined Hornblower Marine Services as the Vice President of West Coast Operations.
John Sainsbury
Vice President of HMS Consulting
As Vice President of HMS Consulting, John is responsible for the management of all technical, regulatory and business consulting activities. He also provides project management support for internal technical and business development initiatives within HMS Global Maritime operations.
John is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and has completed additional studies in project management. He has over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry, including deep sea, offshore, towing, general cargo and operational management roles in the passenger vessel sector. John joined Hornblower Marine Services in 2006 as the General manager of HMS-PacNav.
Jeff Krida
CEO - Great American Steamboat Co.
As CEO of the Great American Steamboat Company, a jointly-owned subsidiary of HMS Global Maritime, Jeff leverages the leadership and senior management skills he gained in several executive posts over his 44-year career, including: Senior Vice President and General Sales Manager of Continental Airlines and Eastern Airlines; President and COO of The Delta Queen Steamboat Company; President and founding partner of RiverBarge Excursion Lines; and President and CEO of Cruise West.
Jeff earned a B.A. in political science and foreign affairs from The American university in Washington, D.C., and completed graduate studies at Columbia and Stanford. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran and has served on numerous travel industry boards and committees.
John Keever
President of HMS Government Services
As President of Seaward Services Inc. and HMS Westpac Inc., John heads up the HMS Government Services Division of HMS Global Maritime. He oversees and manages all contracts that involve the federal government including the department of defense and the EPA.
John is a graduate of the California Maritime Academy with a B.S. degree in Marine Transportation and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University. Prior to joining Hornblower Marine Services in 2008, John had a distinguished 30 year career at the California Maritime Academy, where he served as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor and Vice President and Deputy to the President with responsibility for Maritime Programs and Student Development. He also served as Vice President of Administration and Finance and President of the California Maritime Academy Foundation.
William Annand
Vice President of HMS Government Services
As Vice President of HMS Government Services, Bill provides executive leadership and management for multiple projects. In addition, he assist with business development activities and conducts internal operational and safety auditing for all HMS Global Maritime projects.
Bill has over 30 years of maritime industry experience. He began his career as a deckhand with a ferry company and received his USCG Master’s license at the age of 21. Bill has managed marine operations for a fleet of nine vessels, and he has has also owned and operated his own river cruise company. Since joining Hornblower Marine Services in 1995, Bill has managed and overseen many ferry operations and is now working in conjunction with Seaward Services, which represents the HMS Government Division.
Christina Price
Director of Human Resources
Christina has thirteen years of progressive experience in Human Resources within the industries of Gaming & Entertainment, Manufacturing and Wine & Spirits Sales/Distribution. In her most recent position, Christina was the Director of Human Resources for Southern Wine & Spirits of Indiana, a division of Southern Wine & Spirits of America – the largest wine & spirits distributor in the world. She is an alumnus of Indiana State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.

Dave Henderson
HMS Global Maritime Corporate Safety Officer
As the Corporate Safety Officer, Dave continues his work as the Quality Systems Manager and Designated Person Ashore for Seaward Services, Inc., a division of HMSGM. Dave conducts and provides and reports of Formal Surveys of all ferry, high-speed ferry (HSF) and cruise boat operations for HMS Global Maritime.
Dave earned a B.S. in English from Spring Hill College and has a Master’s degree in Education from Boston University. He is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Colonel and has since worked in the maritime industry in ship design, operations and maintenance.
